All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Roma Williams (Photo) Mrs. Roma Williams, 60, Many Postmaster for nine years before her retirement earlier this year, died Monday, at 7:20 a.m. Funeral services were held Wednesday, at 2 p.m., in the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following in Ft. Jesup Cemetery. The Rev. Earl Marr officiated. Mrs. Williams was born in San Antonio, and came to Pleasant Hill as a child. She met and married Charles Williams, and they moved to Many in 1935. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Southern Methodist Church of Shreveport. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dr. Charles Emery Williams of Germany, and Bill Williams of Longview, Tex.; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bob Cole, Ed Lites, Horace Tompkins, John L. Baird, T. M. Phillips, and W. C. French.
