Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. C. Harris, pastor of the Calvary Baptist church, at Many Baptist Church at 11 o'clock Saturday morning with interment the same afternoon in Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport. Deceased is survived by his widow; one sister, Mrs. Eva Smith of Robeline, and one brother, Myrtle Winn of Many. Deceased was born and reared in the Cedar Grove community, near Robeline. At an early age he entered the oil well drilling business and was rated as one of the best well diggers in the business, having been employed for several years by the Arkansas Natural Gas company. At the time of his death he was employed by Pugh & Hickman Drilling company, having went with that concern about ten years ago when the concern was formed largely by former Arkansas Natural Gas employees.
