Odus Winn, a native of Shreveport, who has resided in New Orleans for the past 30 years, died there Monday, Dec. 27, at the age of 72, following a brief illness. A retired Texaco executive, Mr. Winn conducted private oil operations in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas. Survivors include his widow, the former Sally Gibson of this city; one sister, Mrs. Ida Selby of Tyler, Tex.; and three brothers, Curtley R. Winn of Shreveport, Harvey W. Winn of Gladewater, Tex., and Lenard T. Winn of Zwolle. Also surviving are one granddaughter, and one grandson. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m., in the chapel of the First Baptist Church in Shreveport, with Dr. James Middleton, pastor, officiating. Arrangements were handled by Osborn's Funeral Home, with burial in Forest Park Cemetery. Palbearers were S. J. Durr Jr., Jack Elgin, Frank Reynolds Sr., Vance Bailes, Douglas Gibson, and Dr. J. J. Elliott.
