All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Annie Lee Winn (Photo) Funeral services for Annie Lee Winn, were held Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996, at 2 p.m., in the First Baptist Church in Zwolle, with Rev. Jerry Penfield officiating. Interment was in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Annie Lee Winn joined the First Baptist Church of Zwolle in 1940, where six years later, she began her work in the Nursery Department. This dedication remained throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed spending time with her "Special" church friends, the children. There is a plaque commemorating her dedication and service in the Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church of Zwolle. She joined the Zwolle Chapter No. 200 of the Order of the Eastern Star in 1950. She was Past Matron numerous times, and served as District Deputy Grand Matron twice. She served several stations during her Eastern Star life. She joined the Sabine Chapter No. 171, in 1993. She remained an active participant until her recent illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Winn; a son, James L. Winn; three sisters, Myrtle, Maudie, and Mable; and five brothers, Jack, John, Richard, Darcy, and "Buddy". Ms. Winn is survived by a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Winn; a grandson, James Leonard Winn Jr. and wife Karen; a granddaughter, Angela Winn Walker and husband Mark; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews; and many loving friends. Pallbearers were R. H. Paterson, and First Church Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Zwolle. Honorary pallbearers were Hobart Mitchell, Frank White, and Jack Napier.
