Interment followed in Many City Cemetery. Mrs. Wendt, 56, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, in a San Antonio hospital, after a long illness. She resided in Bossier City, was a housewife, and a Methodist. She was predeceased by her husband, Capt. Wayne D. Wendt Sr., USAF, in 1963, and by her mother, Mrs. Linda Tackett of Mexia, Texas in 1988. Also predeceasing her were two brothers, Cleveland and Gerald Tackett of Mexia. She is survived by two children, Robin Renee Wendt of Bossier City, and Wayne D. Wendt of San Antonio, Tex.; granddaughter, Laura Leigh Wendt, also of San Antonio, Tex.; three brothers, Dr. L. O. Tackett of Many, Hulen Tackett of Tehuacana, Texas, and Bernie Tackett of Doniphan, Missouri; one sister, Josie Hamrick of Tyler, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
