Mr. Wright married Omer Koonce Wright April 26, 1941 in Florien. He was a veteran of WWII Air Corp and was a member of First Baptist Church in Florien. Mr. Wright was a deacon of First Baptist Church, cofounder of Piggly Wiggly of Many, developer of Wright's Shopping Center, and a board member of Sabine State Bank of Many. Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Florien with interment following at Florien Cemetery on Hwy. 171 South. The Rev. Bobby Franklin will officiate. Survivors include his wife, Omer Wright of Many; two nephews, Thomas M. Wright of Houston, Texas and Vernice C. Wright of Baton Rouge; and five nieces,; Connie W. Ammons of Many, Imogene W. Bowden of Spring, Texas, Sandra G. Dees, of Lafayette, Rhonda G. Howard of Shreveport, and Dorothy W. Williams of Lake Conroe, Texas. Pallbearers will be Robert Ammons, Bob Cole, Jack Corley, Leslie Lites, Lee McCann, Ronnie Neel, Stan Russell and Bobby Williams. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of First Baptist Church in Florien, Board of Directors and officers of Sabine State Bank and Florien Masonic Lodge. Warren Meadows Many, La.
