All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Mrs. Mary Walker Wright 16 May 1941 - Mrs. Mary Walker Wright, age 91 years and a few months, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Addison, Friday, May 9, at 11:30 o'clock. Interment was in Negreet cemetery with Rev. C. W. Williams officiating. The Dennis-Green funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wright was born and reared in Chambers county, Alabama, later moving with her parents to Butler county, Alabama, where she met and married Maston Wright, Dec. 17, 1868, at the home of her parents by Rev. Warrel. Mr. and Mrs. Wright moved to Louisiana in 1892, settling at Negreet. Mr. Wright passed away in 1899, but Mrs. Wright continued to live in the old home until about four years ago when she came to Many to make here home with her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Addison. Mrs. Wright lived a very useful life and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She is survived by the following children: W. N. Wright, Lamesa, Texas; J. L. Wright, Many; W. M. Wright. W. C. Wright, J. J. Wright, Negreet; H. L. Wright, Beeville, Texas; Mrs. J. A. Addison, Many; Mrs. W. C. Ford, Shreveport; 46 living grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, 114 direct descendants in all. All the children were here during Mrs. Wright's illness.
