He was buried at Zion Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Joe Ratcliff as pastor. Mr. Wright, 60, passed away at his residence, Jan. 24, 1994. He was a native of Many, and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was chief of Tax for the La. Dept. of Labor, and was a retired Colonel from the U.S. Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Charlsie Ross Wright of Baton Rouge; mother, Mrs. Ester C. Wright of Many; and two daughters, Nancy Wright, and Mrs. Julie Van Zandt and husband Kenneth, all of Baton Rouge; one son, Mark Lane Wright Sr. of Baton Rouge; one brother, Harlon W. Wright of Many; grandchildren, April, Mark Jr., Matthew, Danielle, and Charlsie Wright, and Gina, Lauren, and Perry Van Zandt. Pallbearers were Kenneth Van Zandt, Danny Derrick, Oscar Alford, John Curtis, Wilbert Curtis, and Walker Wright.
