W. C. Wright

  Funeral services for W. C. Wright Jr., 69, of Negreet, were held
Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1995, at the First Baptist Church of Many,
with the Revs. Lee Deason, and Lynn Hawkins officiating. Mr.
Wright died Monday, Oct. 16, 1995, at Schumpert Medical Center in
Shreveport, and was buried at the Zion Hill Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  He is survived by his wife, Doris Miller Wright; daughter, Judy
Cathey and her husband Conrad of Toledo Bend; daughter, Karen
Taylor of Lafayette; son, Dennis Wright and his wife Vickie of
Negreet; sister, Juanita Bray of Shreveport; grandchildren,
Mandy, Ginger, Allen, David, Cristy, Brad, Kim, Blake, and
Summer; great granddaughter, Madison; and special family friend,
Krista Zick Beasley.

  Pallbearers were Allen Cathey, David Cathey, David Huckaby, Brad
Wright, Blake Taylor, Rocky Wright, Doug Patrick, and Robert Dale
Geoghagan.

  Mr. Wright was a lifetime resident of Negreet. He retired from
Texaco in 1983, after 32 years of service, while continuing to
raise cattle. He was involved with the soil conservation service,
Farm Bureau Association, and the La. Cattleman's Association. Mr.
Wright was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Many, and
a trustee of the Zion Hill Cemetery.
