Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 28, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield, with interment following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse. The Rev. Bob Phillips, and the Rev. Adrain Fairchild officiated, and the Rev. Jimmy Price assisted. Survivors include two sons, Robert E. Ward and wife, Mary of Shreveport, and Morrell E. Ward of Many; two daughters, Margaret Bissell and husband, Floyd, and Linda Kay Henderson and husband, Bertie, both of Converse; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Cora Ward Champion; and husband, Earl W. Ward; brothers, Frank, Vertis, and Clarence Champion; sisters Edna Champion, and Nellie Howard. Pallbearers were Randy Bissell, Tommy Bissell, Robbie Ward, Matthew Ward, Charles Henderson, David Henderson, James Henderson, and John Henderson. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Mansfield, La.
