John W. Worthey

  John W. Worthey, 86, died in Zwolle, Friday, Jan. 13, after an
extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 15, in the Memorial
Baptist Church in Zwolle, with the Rev. H. L. Miller officiating.
Burial was in the Old Anacoco Cemetery, Hawthorn, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vernie Worthey of Zwolle; four
sons, Virgil Worthey of Houston, Tex., Melvin Worthey of Fort
Worth, Jessie Worthey of San Francisco, Calif., Chris Hanchey of
DeRidder; five daughters, Mrs. Bessie Heath of Hurst, Tex., Mrs.
Agnes Utz of Shreveport, Mrs. Irma Logan, Mrs. Frances Houston;
one brother, George Worthey of Paris, Tex.; twenty grandchildren;
and twenty one great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Raymond Garca, Willie Garca, Philip Rivers,
Bill Chambers, Willie Dew, and J. W. Longoria.
