Mrs. Young was a native of Jefferson, Tex., but had lived the past 56 years in Oil City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oil City, and was a retired seamstress. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, in the McGuire Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. James Sermons officiating. Burial was in the Vivian Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, J. E. Young of Oil City; three sons, Mark Williams of Oil City, Willie Walker of Shreveport, and Sidney Walker of Woodville, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Louis Burens of Many, and Mrs. Dorothy Ford of Shreveport; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
