Burial was at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Many. A Rosary was said at 8 p.m., Sunday, June 4, at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Mrs. Young, a native of Converse, La., and resident of Shreveport, for the past 36 years, died Saturday, June 3, 1989, in Shreveport, following a long illness. She was a waitress at the Mid-City Cafeteria for 12 years, and was a member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Rivers. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ardie Rivers of Shreveport; two sisters, Wilma Rivers of Shreveport, Bobbie Ebarb and husband, Hosea of Many; three nieces; and two nephews. Pallbearers were Buster Rivers, Jacky Rivers, Joe Ferguson, Bill Ferguson, Dennis Ferguson, Earl Ferguson. Honorary pallbearer was Eric Prescott.
