Officiating was Rev. Ron Matthews, and interment was at Mt. Zion Methodist Cemetery in Deberry, Tex., under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier Chapel. Mr. Yanez passed away Friday, Oct. 11, in Oiney, Ill., after an automobile accident. He was born in Big Springs, Tex. And attended Byrd High School. Mr. Yanez was employed by Mitchell Construction Company of Bossier City. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Yanez Sr.; and brother, Benedict Yanez. He is survived by his mother, Betty Yanez of Lafayette; five sisters, Carmen Watson of Zwolle, Maria Martin of the Woodlands, Tex., Mary Ann Garcia of Bossier City, Dr. Rita Horton of Benton, and Theresa Morgan of Lafayette; three brothers, William "Bill" M. Yanez of Deberry, Tex., Wilfred M. Yanez Jr. of Dallas, Tex., and William Randal Smith of Forest Miss.; also a special friend, Cheryl Maloney; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Melton Watson, Debra Garcia, Frank Elizardo, Robert Watson Sr., Theresa Morgan, and Matthew Watson.
