Youngblood 11 Apr 1947 - Funeral services for R. O. Youngblood, age 72, who died April 1, were held in Noble Methodist church 2 p.m. Wednesday of last week with interment in Highland cemetery, Mansfield. Rev. Joe Flanagan of DeRidder conducted the services assisted by Rev. B. D. Watson, pastor Zwolle Baptist church. Pallbearers were: R. L. Gay, Oliver Elliott, John R. Vines, O. B. Knott, J. H. Robinson, J. E. Mulloy, A. J. Julian, W. E. Baker, M. L. Odom. Mr. Youngblood conducted a successful mercantile business in Noble for many years and left a host of friends all over Sabine parish. He was active in civil and political affairs in the community. Many lovely floral offering attested the high esteem in which he was held. He is survived by: his widow, Mrs. Alice Roscoe Youngblood; one daughter, Mrs. Dewey Jones, Vivian; two sons, Alton G. and Forrest P, both of Noble; two granddaughters, Miss Janet Youngblood, Noble and Miss Margaret Youngblood, Shreveport; three grandsons, Payton Youngblood, Noble, Bobbie and Clavin Jones, Vivian; two brothers, D. W. Youngblood and Rev. D. A. Youngblood, both of Port Arhtur, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. A. C. Hart, Timpson, Texas, Mrs. David Holmes, Port Neches;, Texas and Mrs. Blanche Thompson, Haughton.
