Youngblood, 89, of Baton Rouge, died Saturday, Feb. 16, in a Baton Rouge nursing home, following a lengthy illness. Services were held Monday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m., in Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta, with the Rev. Brent Flemming, assisted by the Rev. Clarence Berley, officiating. Burial followed in Marthaville Cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lee Nabours of Zwolle, and Corine Pearson of Shreveport; and two brothers, Dr. G. L. McCartney, and Kuler McCartney, both of Atlanta, Ga.
