The Sabine Index - Dr. John B. Younger

  10 Jun 1949 - Funeral services for Dr. John B. Younger, 49,
of Leesville were held Wednesday of last week at the chapel of
Hixon funeral home, Leesville. Officiating at the funeral home
were Revs. E. E. Fields, A. A. McKnight and E. R. Haug. The body
was taken to Winona, Miss for interment.

  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ethel H. Younger; a son, John
Bejamin Younger, both of Leesville; mother, Mrs. T. B. Younger,
and sister, Mrs. C. A. Quillen, both of Fisher.

  Dr. Younger received his medical degree from the
University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1927. He practiced medicine
with his father, the late Dr. T. B. Younger. For 12 years he
practiced in Shreveport, moving to Kurthwood where he established
a clinic, later moving to Leesville and establishing a clinic.
Dr. Younger had lived in Vernon parish for 10 years. He died at
his home in Leesville Tuesday of last week after suffering a
heart attack.
