All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Directions: This small cemetery, probably not more than 50-foot square, is located 3.0 miles north of Cheneyville near Lloyd's Bridge on the Veaver Plantation. Go down Munson road, turn left on turn-row that goes to the back of a cane field (1993). The area is not fenced and is actually in the can field (1993) bordered on one side by the turn-row and sugar cane on the remaining three sides. Permission to enter should be obtained from Henry Corley who leases the land. Tombstone inscriptions were recorded by Mary Parker Partain, September 1993, and submitted by Jane P. McManus, July 2000. Jackson, Matilda Ann - 7 Oct 1829 / 21 Oct 1829 Daughter of Henry Jackson & Esther E.[Elvira] Tanner [unknown burial, stone laying face down on top of obelisk about 5' tall, cannot be read, but the base is still in place.] Jackson, Avery, son of R. H. & M. M. Jackson - 16 Apr 1852 / 27 Aug 1853 [this obelisk is laying on the ground, but readable] [brick-lined burial that is sunken - no information] Jackson, Mary Melvina, wife of Robert H. Jackson - 4 Aug 1826 / 3 Mar 1859 [daughter of Elzaphan Jackson & Mary Stokes] [this stone is laying on the ground] [small base for tombstone, but no marker - no information] Herbert, Edwin Charles - 24 Nov 1815 Norfolk Co.
