Hughes and Charles C Nowell of said parish appraisers; Madam Mary Tidwell widow of said deceased and Tutrix of said minor heirs of John Arledge deceased pointed out the following property: Wade, a negro man slave aged about 32 years of black complexion valued at $1400 Wash, a man slave aged about 27 years black color $1400 Hannah, a woman slave aged about 32 years black color valued at $850 Elvira, a woman slave aged about 27 years black complexion $1100 Su a girl slave 12 years dark copper color $1000 Sam a boy slave aged 7 years dark copper color $500 Hilliard a boy slave aged 5 years dark copper color $300 Caroline a girl slave aged 2 years black color $250 Total value of slave property is $6800 No other property pointed out to be inventoried ... recorded in presence of Asbury A Abney [Clerk of District Ct] and Thos N.Braden witnesses.
