Octavie ROUANET, wife of William HUNTER, slaves: Charles, 40 yrs.; Moses, 40 yrs., Augustin, 28 yrs. And Celina, 12 yrs. The sale of the slaves was advertised in the LaFourche Union Weekly Newspaper. Plantation about 6 miles above Thibodaux measuring 4 and one half arpents front - 1 arpent by 40 arpents deep and 3 and one half arpents by 80 arpents deep, bounded above by Jean Baptiste BOLTDREAUX alias, Blaise and below by Adam PERRILLIOU, Sr. land bounded by the above described land on the upper side and 60 arpents from the bayou 3) slaves: Steven, 45 yrs.; John Griff, 28 yrs.; Michel, 25 yrs.; Anna, 45 yrs. and her 2 children Adam, 6 yrs. and Eve 7 yrs.; Seraphine, 19 yrs.; and Josephine 17 yrs. a plantation about 5 miles above Thibodaux on the left bank of bayou = LaFourche bounded above by Bazile NAQUIN and below by Valerie VICKNEIR a mortgage in favor of the succession of Andre and Edourd MONTZ for slave Nicol. 3) mortgage in favor of George WEMPREIN for slaves: Charles, Adam and Ursin, a sugar plantation with 19 slaves. Book FF pg. 221 Slave Purchase, Drauzin TRICHE from Mrs. Francois RODRIGUE 15 Nov. 1852 Appeared Josephine FOLSE, widow of Ursin TROSCLAIR, now wife of Francois RODRIGUEZ who sells to Drauzin TRICHE a Negro girl, Celestine, about 30 yrs. old and five children: Marcellin, 10 yrs.; Celestin, 8 yrs.; Virginie, 6 yrs.; Celeste, 4 yrs.; and an unnamed infant about 8 days old. Celestine and Marcellin were acquired at Sheriffs sale on 3 May 1844, the other children were born since the purchase. Re: The estate of Ursin TROSCLAIR is not settled therefore the rights of Eugenie TROSCLAIR, wife of Ellis RODRIGUEZ and Marie TROSCLAIR, minor children of the deceased Ursin TROSCLAIR and Josephine FOLSE now Mrs. Francois RODRIGUEZ must be considered.
