All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** These are to certify all of whom it may concern, that Francis Poussett, esqr. of the District of Baton Rouge and province aforesaid hath agreed with, and bought of, on the terms hereafter mentioned, from Samuel Steer of the same district and province, as Acting Attorney to the Estate of the Province and District aforesaid, and with the approbation of Mr. George Proffit, joint attorney with Samuel Steer to the Estate of John Nash--that is to say-- six negro slaves named Harry, Dick, Susie, Nelly and her two children for one thousand current paper dollars and one thousand Silver Spanish, Mexican milled dollars. Half to be paid down the said Francis Poussett unto the said Samuel Steer on receiving the said negros into his possession.
