Converting an Excel Spreadsheet to a Text File

Here is how you can convert Excel to a Word file, text file, Word Perfect> > file, etc.> >> >
1. Open the document in Excel.
   a. Do Save As, and scroll down quite a ways to formatted space (test delimited) .prn format.

2. Open this .prn file in Word and save it as .doc or .txt.

Notes:
3. The width of the Excel columns is slightly larger than what shows up in Word or text.  So, make sure you enlarge
the Excel columns a little so that nothing gets truncated int he Word/text file.

4. The font will convert to Courier New 10 when you do this.

5. The feature in Excel fo word wrapping does not follow the conversion into Word, so before you convert, turn it off and
use multiple Excel rows. Otherwise a very long, formerly wrapped entry, will be truncated very early.
