Logos Below are the settings for the "common" logos. If you are a new file manager, these have already been set for you. It is very important, that you do not change them and that you *do not* place these in your parish html directory or the archives_html directory.. If you have sub-folders, such as "photos/schools" within your parish folder then you have to add what is called a switch. ../../../gifs/(logo name). Each switch or "dot, dot, frontslash" sends you upward another folder. New Logo Links: Parish TOC Page - gifs/logos/USGenWebxxxx.gif Parish Index Pages - ../gifs/logos/USGenWebxxxx.gif (I placed x's as that part would change according to which logo you use.) For your table of contents: gifs/bg17.gif (USGenWeb background) images/fleur16.jpg (brown fleur de lis background) gifs/colorbar.gif NOTE: All 4 logos must be at the top of your TOC. Only the lalogo (the blue one) has to be on the index pages. gifs/usgenweb.gif gifs/usgwarch.gif ...You only need one of these. gifs/lagwarch.gif (white background) gifs/lagwarch2.gif (clear background) gifs/lalogo.gif gifs/rootsweb.gif For your index pages: ../gifs/s/bg17.gif (background) ../images/fleur16.jpg (brown fleur de lis background) ../gifs/colorbar.gif ../gifs/usgenweb.gif ../gifs/usgwarch.gif *You only need one of these and this is the only required logo for the index pages. ../gifs/lagwarch.gif (white background) ../gifs/lagwarch2.gif (clear background) ../gifs/lalogo.gif ../gifs/rootsweb.gif Copyright link: http://usgwarchives.net/la/archives/copyright.htm The gifs folder is for the logos that we use and for images that are related to the state pages. All parish used images should be placed in the image folder. Then email the state file manager so that image is registered with your site. All unclaimed images are periodically deleted. This was actually a project that Bobby Edwards & Jan Craven started in 1998. The idea is to save space on our server. Imagine all of these logos times 64. Rather than having all of these copies taking up space in each parish folder, one folder of logos was created to which each of us would link to...just like you link to a text file. We have 4 logos that everyone uses on our web pages. Then there are 5 to choose from (1 has a transparent background). Now we have a number of other choices to choose fro
