Congratulations on your new assignment - that will be a challenging job for
you (as file manager of Catahoula Parish) and if I can be of any help, will
be glad to do so. I have a lot of requests for my book entitled "First
Settlers of Catahoula Parish, La. 1808-1839" which is an abstract of the
early conveyance records of that Parish. I no longer have any copies for
sale, so if you think it would help to put this on the web site for
Catahoula Parish, you have my permission to do so. It has been a wonderful
research tool. Has anyone done anything with the early Will Books of
Catahoula Parish?
