Murray made application for widows pension of Lewis T. Murray who entered the service of the Confederate States under the name of L. T. Murray at Shreveport, Louisiana on the 22nd day of March, 1862 in Co. 12th Louisiana Infantry and that he lost his life prior to June 1, 1865 from wounds received, or disease contracted in the service, on May 22 , 1865; that she was married to the said soldier under the name of Julia A. Williams on the 19th day of February, 1857 by Rev. Moses Williams, (her uncle) at her house 7 miles north of Mansfield, Louisiana and that she has lived in Louisiana for 61 years. She says that Lewis died 22nd day of May 1865 of consumption contracted in the war after having the measles in camp.
