to  Maj. Gen. E.R.S. Canby,U.S.A.,  May 26,1865,  and paroled at
Alexandria, La.,  June 3, 1865.

This has been typed as close to the actual document as I can copy it.
This is the "Roll of Prisoners of War" roll for T.J. Baggett, My
2nd Gr-grandfather.. This regiment was originally formed as
McWaters Rangers,commanded by James A. McWaters. It later turned
into  the 2nd La. Cav. Co. G.
