Visiting at Mount Zion on the Hill Baptist Church, 220 W. Plains Port Hudson Road, Port Hudson, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Gus Spurlock Sr. Interment in Mount Zion Community Cemetery, Port Hudson. Survived by a daughter, Carolyn Burns Sept, Baker; five sons, James Stewart and Donald Stewart, both of Baker, Wardell Stewart, Baton Rouge, and Larry Burns Stewart and Mac Arthur Burns, both of Port Hudson; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sadie W. Turner, Octavia W. Thomas and Berthella Wallace, all of Port Hudson; and two brothers, John and Elmore Wallace, both of Port Hudson. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Annis Wallace; a sister, Annie Mae Wallace; and two brothers,William and Walter Wallace.
