ROBERT CHAPMAN (b. March 22, 1871, d. September 23, 1941)

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM today at the New Salem Baptist Church
for Robert Chapman, Negro Undertaker, who died here Tuesday, September 23rd
at 4:30 PM.  Born and reared in Houma, the deceased is survived by his widow, one
Daughter, Mrs. Gladys James of Chicago, ten grandchildren, and a sister Mrs.
Sara Verett of Houma.
