She was born December 19, 1888 to the late Rev. and Mrs. Richard Coleman, the eldest of nine children. Her entire life was spent and devoted to her work in the area, where she was a school teacher. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Bon Crest Baptist Church and in 1928 joined the New Hope Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. J.S. Stills. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Mother of the Church and did other duties in the church faithfully until her passing. In 1919 she was united in holy wedlock to Elijah Green who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her loving memory a foster son Author T. Glenn of Mansfield, Louisiana. Three stepsons Jessie of Mansfield, Limas of Fort Worth, Texas and Percy Glenn of Beaumont, Texas. A foster brother James P Williams of Chicago, Illinois. Four nieces, Naomi Hill, Louise Riley and Maydell Wyche of Shreport, Louisiana and Ethel M. Jackson of Dallas. Texas. Five nephews, Leon and Jeremiah Coleman of Shreveport, Louisiana, Roosevelt and Rev. Richard Riley of Dallas, Texas and George Riley, Jr. of Oakland, California. Her parents, sisters and brother preceeded her in death.
