On July 22, 1915, Sister Eva Collins Lewis Moore was born to the union of Thomas and Hester Collins of Mangham, La. She accepted Christ at an early age (New Bethel Baptist Church) in Mangham, Louisiana. She was married to Walter Lewis and to this union three daughters were born: Dorothy Mae Lewis James (Jessie James), Shreveport, Louisiana; Louise Lewis Harris (Gehrig Leonard Harris, Sr.), Plaquemine, Louisiana and Rueschell Lewis Holmes Curry; nine grandchildren: Eva Karen harris Davis, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Judge Sharah Renea Harris, Plaquemine, Louisiana; Gehrig Leonard "Len" Harris, Jr. (Suzanne), Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico; Lou Gehrig Harris (Angela), Provo, Utah; Janice Curtis (George), Monroe, Louisiana; nine great grandchildren; two sisters: Annie Mae Garcia, Dallas, Texas; Lela Mae Collins, Monroe, Louisiana, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hester Collins; her husbands, Walter Lewis and Albert Moore; one daughter, Dorothy Mae Lewis James; five brothers Frank Brown, Eugene Brown, George Collins, Jessie Collins and Henry Griffin; three sisters, Sallie Vanburans Grey, Eliza Toliver and Beatrice Mitchell. Interment in Grace Memorial Cemetery - Plaquemine, Iberville Parish, Louisiana
