S.K. Martin-Quiatte FRANKLIN, ORA MARTIN A registered nurse who was certified in diabetes education, she died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at her residence in Baton Rouge. She was 50 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1565 Curtis St., from 8:30 a.m. until a gospel tribute from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial in the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, celebrated by the Rev. Hilton Rivet. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by her husband, Robert E. Franklin; father, Robert Lee Martin of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Pamela S. Martin and Devynn D. Fleury, both of Baton Rouge; two sons, Derrick Franklin and Brian Franklin, both of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Beulah M. Decuir and Edna M. Dixon, both of Baton Rouge; four brothers, Lendell Martin of Dennis Mills, Herman R. Martin of Panama City, Fla., Douglas Martin of Stockton, Calif., and Robert D. Martin of Baton Rouge; five aunts Myrtis Dyer, Catherine Martin, Ella Bogan, Dimple Martin and Mary Martin , one uncle, Joe Louis Martin of Colorado Springs, Co. five grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Mary Hazel Morris Martin, and uncles Willie Morgan, Clarence Martin, Alfred Martin and Leon Martin, Sr, and her grandparents Mary Jackson Martin and Fred Martin Pallbearers will be Lendell Martin, Herman R. Martin, Douglas Martin, Robert D. Martin, Edward Franklin and Donnie Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Derrick Franklin, Brian Franklin, D‚Andre Dixon, Reisheid Dixon, Eddrick Martin, Montrell Dixon, Jamaal Martin, Jaraad Martin, Christopher DeCuir, Daniel Decuir, Anthony Martin, Brad Martin, Aldwin Martin and Jared Martin. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The family extends special thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge for the care and concern given to her and to them.
