Oath for Justice of the Peace

Aug. 7, 1846 - Thursay:..."I, being a citizen of this state, have not fought
a duel, with deadly weapons, within this State, nor out of it, with a
citizen of this State, nor have I sent or accepted a challenge, to fight a
duel with deadly weapons, with a citizen of the State, nor aided and
enlisted any person thus offending."
