The undersigned members of the bar of this District appointed by your Honor to draft and submit resoltions to this court, commemorative of the character and services of late brother James D. Augustin who departed this life on the 14th inst herewith submit the following preamble and resolutions and suggest that they be approved by the court and spread on the minutes of the court. Respectfully submitted Chas A. Baquie Jos W. Carew Alfred E. Billings Resolutions Whereas it has pleased the Almighty in the exercise of his divine wisdom to recall from our midst all that was mortal of our friend and fellow member of this bar, James Don??? Augustin and whereas we humbly submit to the inscrutable will of divine providence we cannot refrain from giving expression to our feelings of sorrow for his untimely death. Be it resolved that with the demise of the late James D. Augustin, the court has lost a valuable officer, the bar of the State a profound jurist and able advocate, his fellows at the bar a genial companion and true friend, the State a valued citizen and his bereaved widow and family a loving husband and devoted father. Resolved that as a mark of respect to his memory, that these resolutions be ordered spread upon the Minutes of this court and a copy therof forwarded to his bereaved widow and family.
