Joseph - accepted and sworn John Tregre - accepted and sworn Jonas Payne - challenged by state The panel being exhausted the court ordered the Sheriff to pick salesmen from among the bystanders. The Sheriff called: Rd Brown - accepted and sworn Peter Baptiste - accepted and sworn Jos. Wilson - accepted and sworn Robt. Robertson- accepted and sworn After hearing facts of the case, the jury retired to deliberate and returned with a verdict of Not Guilty of Breaking & Entering and Guilty of Petty Larceny. Defendent was sentenced to 3 months in Parish Prison.
