We would recommend a larger press to preserve the papers of the court as the one he has is already pretty well filled. The Justice of the Peace books are satisfactory with the exception of Messrs. P. E. S. Martin of the 5th Ward and L. Songy of the Third Ward who failed to appear. We have examined 3 criminal cases and report them as follows: State of LA vs John Bentley - a true bill-Carrying a Concealed Weapon State of LA vs Willie Harris - a true bill - Carrying a Concealed Weapon State of LA vs R. E. Morril - a true bill - Murder [We] compliment the Police Jury...for the repairs made by them to the Court Room and the Sheriff Lewis Ory for so well carrying out the intentions of the Jury and for his taste in the details.
