Dean was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a WWII Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater with the 35th Naval Construction Battalion and retired from the Tennessee Cheese Company in Woodbury, TN. He was an avid gardener and photographer. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Proffitt Bell; son and daughter-in-law: Marlon Dean Bell and Beth Tate Bell; and grandchildren: James Michael Bell and Emily Elizabeth Bell all of Luling LA. He is also survived by sisters: Katherine Austin, Mary Margaret Burnett, Carolyn Burnett; and a host of nieces and nephews from the Morristown and Maryville areas of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Preston Bell and Ruth Neal Williams, and brothers: James Zirkle Bell and William Preston Bell, Jr. ===================
