July 7, 1915 - August 19, 2010 Lawrence Joseph Cristina, Sr. age 95, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Summerville Assisted Living Facility in Kenner. He was a member of St. Matthew Apostle Catholic Church in River Ridge, St. Rita's Catholic Church in Harahan and Past Grand Knight of St. Rita Council 3854. He is survived by his grandchildren; Tiffany Crowson, Brandon Cristina and Fr. Mark Mary "Damon" Cristina. One great-grandson, John Allen Crowson. Two brothers; Robert and Calvin. Three sisters; Jane Stoulig, June Mince and Joy Romig. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah May Cristina. Parents; Salvador T. Cristina and Ethel Rinderele. Son, Lawrence J. Cristina, Jr. and daughter, Judith Lynn Cristina Guidry. Brother, Salvador T. "ST" Cristina, Jr and two sisters; Ethel Fletcher and Mildred Lacour. The public is invited to the visitation which will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 from 9:15 am until 10:45 am at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am from the church with Fr. Mark Mary Cristina officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Charles Mausoleum. The family would like to express special thanks to Jesuit High School in New Orleans and Summerville Assisted Living in Kenner.
