GROWL

Norma Kinler Growl, 80, a native and resident of Luling, died on Tuesday April 
27, 2010.

She is survived by her four sons: Ronald Growl and wife Roberta, Danny Growl, 
Rory Growl and wife Robin, and John Growl and wife Julie; four daughters: Norma 
Calvo and husband Cedric, April Kinler and husband Ned, Gwen Doherty, and Joan 
Growl; her brother, Julius Kinler, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Growl, her parents, Alphonse 
and Georgina Champagne Kinler, her daughter, Jan Growl, her brother, Roland 
Kinler and her son-in-law, Paul Doherty.

She was a 1949 graduate of Charity School of Nursing. She volunteered for 
various school, church and community organizations. She was a parishioner of St. 
Anthony Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 
charity of your choice.

Visitation and funeral were held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling on 
April 30. Mass was held and burial followed at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
