MCMURRY, JOYCE STRATE
August 28 1934-May 12, 2010 

Joyce Strate McMurry, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Ochsner Medical 
Center, in Jefferson, LA. 

She is survived by 2 sons; Mark Thomas McMurry and wife Bonnie, Timothy C. 
McMurry and wife Rae, 2 daughters; Cynthia M. Kragle and husband Charles, 
Kristie M. Stapler and husband Cameron, a brother Lester Strate and wife Rita 
Ann, 3 sister-in- laws; JoAnn Strate, Pat Strate, Eula McMurry, a brother-in-law 
Courtney McMurry, 7 beautiful grandchildren; Kristen Barre, Brittany McMurry, 
Katelyn Stapler, Cody McMurry, Cole Stapler, Garrett McMurry , Brandon Kragle, 
and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas H. McMurry, 
her parents George J. and Veletta "Ta" David Strate, 3 brothers; Milton, George 
and Glynn, 2 sisters; Elizabeth Guillaume and Delores Guerin, and in-laws Brian 
A. and Lois M. Kaiser, Mary Rose Strate and Russell Guerin. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14,2010, at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home 
821 Fourth Street, Norco, LA, from 6pm to 9pm. Visiting continues on Saturday, 
May 15, 2010, At Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 401 Spruce Street, 
Norco, LA from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Entombment will 
follow in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum.
