Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stcharles/photos/obits/2010 and click on the name of interest. ========== Dorothy Roux St. Amant departed this life peacefully at the dawn of Mother's Day, Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. "Bill" St. Amant and daughter Priscilla St. Amant Moore, her parents Clinton Roux Sr. and Andrea Ourso Roux, and her sister Lillian Roux Lirette. She is survived by four devoted children and their spouses; Don St. Amant (wife Iris), Billie Simoneaux (husband Earl), Dorothy Dufresne (husband Edward) and Clifford St. Amant (wife Gale), her brother Clinton "Pony" Roux, Jr., 12 Grandchildren and 25 Great-Grandchildren who affectionately called her "St.Amant". She was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Ladies Altar Society and the Knights of Columbus Council #2409 Ladies Auxiliary. Dorothy Roux St. Amant was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her memory will be cherished by many loving family members and friends. Throughout her entire life she loved to dance. She also enjoyed her favorite pastimes- going to lunch, playing bingo or cards and visiting with family members. Her faith and religious devotion, as well as the twinkle in her eyes and loving smile will carry on in our hearts forever. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church- Hahnville on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Entombment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery -Crucifixion Mausoleum, in Luling. The Family would like to thank the staff for the care provided by Ormond Nursing Center of Destrehan. In lieu of flowers, donations to United Way of St. Charles- Catholic Charities in her memory would be appreciated. Arrangements handled by H.C. Alexander Funeral Home. ===================
