Age 67 years and a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish. Beloved husband of Charlene W. Barrient. Father of Herman (Mac) Barrient, Jr. (Lori), Dino Barrient (Dawn), Cheryl Andrews (William) and Wendy Prevost (Leon) Father in law of the late Ron Dionese. Son of the late Herman and Josephine Barrient. Grandfather of Gary, Anthony, Zacary and Savanna Barrient, Beau and Maranda Dionese, Jacob Andrews, Wesley, Destony, and Brandon Prevost. Brother of Mickey and Carroll Forsythe, Barbara and Michael Demots, Judy and Richard Dudenhefer and the late Gary (Tub) Barrient. Uncle of John Anderson (Vicki), Scott Forsythe (Becky), Crystal Gautreaux (Keith) and Chantelle Nalls (Chris). Also survived by many other Nieces, Nephews, loving family and devoted friends. Previously married to Mary Terrell Barrient, and the late Barbara Macloud Barrient. To all who knew Herman, he will always be remembered as "Sonny Bee". Sonny was the proprietor of Factory Choice, Inc. He was a member of St. Charles Business Association, BBB, St. John Business Association, River Region Chamber of Commerce and former member of BNI. His love for music and entertainment will live on after him in the family he left behind. The Barrient family would like to extend their special thanks to the Hospice Associates staff especially Bonnie Evans, Bonnie Smith, and Rene Williams. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth Street, Norco, LA on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Monday morning from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA. Interment will be private.
