BURGETT

Doris Virginia "Granny" Flora Burgett, 93, peacefully passed away on March 3, 
2011.

She was a resident of Luling. 

She was the daughter of the late Minnie Mae Butt and Bernice David Flora, 
beloved wife of the late William Lester Burgett, loving and devoted mother of 
Kay Havis of Victoria, Texas, Genell McMann (husband Don) of Stuart, Fla., and 
Mary Lou Sumrall of Luling; and sister of Harold Flora of Alvin, Texas. 
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Les Posey, Doug Posey, Kim Freehauf, 
Laura Brackett, Don McMann Jr. and Kimberly Keser; and 14 great-grandchildren: 
Robert, Laura, Philip, Noah, Erin, Conner, Blake, Kelsey, Hannah, Rachel, 
Brandon, Cameron, Cindi and Samantha. 

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Sumrall, and great-grandson, 
Jacob McMann.

Services were held at Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Kenner on March 11 to 
celebrate her.  A private family interment took place at Jefferson Memorial 
Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Vineyard Christian 
Fellowship, c/o Renew Honduras (Children's Mission), 4340 Sal Lentini Parkway, 
Kenner, LA
