Defelice

Johnny P. Defelice Jr., 79, a native of Gretna and resident of Larose, passed 
away peacefully on March 20, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. 

Through God's grace, he surpassed expectations by living a full life for over 
three years with this disease.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennie, son, Kirk (wife Nora), daughter, 
Jennifer D. Landry (husband Rodney), grandson, Ryan Defelice (wife Erica), 
great-grandson, Aidan, brothers, Raymond (wife Vivian) and Claude (wife Bonnie), 
sister, Claudette (husband Jim), and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Euphrasie G. and JOhn Defelice Sr., and 
brother, Stephen.

He was a retired cattleman, member of the Third and Fourth Degree Knights of 
Columbus, Holy Name Society and a church usher for many years.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Joseph Hospice Foundation, 
17732 Highland Road, Suite G, Box 241, Baton Rouge, LA 70810, in his name.

Services were held on March 23 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose with 
interment at the church cemetery.
