Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stcharles/photos/obits/2011 and click on the name of interest. ========== Joan Elizabeth DuRocher age 79, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Vermilion Health Care Center in Abbeville, La. She was a native of New Orleans and lived in Norco since 1938 and was a retired supervisor with Shell Oil Company. She is survived by her brother, Drew DuRocher of Naples, Florida and his children, Dan DuRocher and Jeffrey DuRocher; her niece, Mae Dufour Mayeux of Abbeville, La, and her child, Tiffany Olivier; and her nephew, Denny Dufour and wife, Debbie Dufour of Prairieville, La. and their children, Casey Dufour, Chrissie Dufour Belle and Cody Dufour as well as many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Andrew DuRocher, Sr. and Loretta Elizabeth Duclos, brother, Alton Andrew DuRocher and sister, Marilyn Claire DuRocher Dufour. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco and will continue on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Garden of Memories in Metairie. She will be missed by her beloved dogs, Many-Too and BeBe.
