GUEDRY, SIDNEY JOHN, SR.
March 15, 1931 - July 8, 2011

Sidney John Guedry, Sr. age 80, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Ochsner 
Regional Medical Center in Kenner. 

He was a retired bookkeeper and native of New Sarpy and lived in Norco since 
1953.

He is survived by his wife Juanita Guedry. Children Sidney Guedry (Anne) of 
Hammond, Mark Guedry of Florien, Linda and Ruth Guedry of Ponchatoula, Edgar 
Guedry of Baton Rouge. Brother Roger Guedry, Jr. and sister Carol Sutton. Three 
grandchildren; Sara Powell, Forrest Guedry and Ginger Broussard. Five great-
grandchildren; Quentin and Gabriel Broussard, Kaitlin, Kendall and Lindsey 
Powell. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Lorraine Morvant Guedry, parents 
Roger Guedry and Delphine Kinler. Daughter-in-law Linda Rabeaux Guedry. 
Siblings; Josephine Barrient, Edna Seri, Edith Ancale, Michael Guedry, Agnes 
LaBranche and George Guedry.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at 
H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco and will continue on Monday, July 11, 2011 
from 9:00 am until 11:45 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Mass of 
Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon from the church with Fr. Terry Becnel 
officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in 
Destrehan.

Special thanks to the staff at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, especially 
Lisa, Dr. Siegel and Dr. Vorhoff.
