GUILFORE, LISTA "MAMA LISTA" BENARBY 

Lista "Mama Lista" Benarby Guilfore, 104, entered into heaven on May 10, 2011.

She was a lifelong resident of Ama. 

She was the wife of the late Sullivan Guilfore Sr. (by 3rd marriage), the late 
Ernest J. Patterson Sr. (by 2nd marriage) and the late Purnell Clark (by 1st 
marriage); daughter of the late Varise and Olevia Johnson Benarby, mother of 
Doris C. Williams, Beverly W. Patterson-Byrd, Ernest J. Patterson Jr. and the 
late Gloria Mae, Malcolm P., Sr. and Earl J. Clark; mother-in-law of Vivian M. 
and Joyce Clark, Patricia Patterson and the late Preston Williams and Anthony 
"Chuck" Byrd; sister of Evelyn Banks and the late Weldon, Wilma, and Earl 
Benarby, Hilda B. Brown and Helen B. Kelly; grandmother of 18, great-grandmother 
of 28, great-great-grandmother of 13, step-mother of 4, step grandmother of 15, 
step-great-grandmother of 11 and step-great-great-grandmother of 10. She was the 
devoted friend of Billie Gros. She is also survived by a host of Godchildren, 
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of Mt. Zion 
M.B.C. in Ama were invited to attend the funeral service on May 14 at the Mt. 
Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Kendall Pierre Sr. officiating. 

Interment followed at the Mt. Pilgrim Society Cemetery.
