Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stcharles/photos/obits/2011 and click on the name of interest. ========== James Francis Kees, 80, was born on Nov. 19, 1930 in Olla to the union of his parents, Frank Francis Kees and Ruth King Kees. James served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Navy and was extremely proud of the service he rendered. He was a retired operator for the Monsanto Chemical Corporation in Luling. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters. As of late, he was a Greeter at Wal-Mart. Survivors include his beloved wife, Sue Barnum Kees, his daughters, Phyllis Kees Rodriguez (husband Kern) and Lillie Kees, and his son, Dennis Kees. He also leaves his grandson, Duane Batusic (wife Cindy), two great-grandkids, Rose and Alex, his sister, Barbara York (husband Phil), and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Sept. 29 from the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Olla with the Rev. Malcomb Richard officiating. Interment with full military honors followed in the Urania Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. In lieu of flowers, any planned memorials should be made to Vanderbilt Terrior Regiment-Vanderbilt Catholic High School, Houma, La. or the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, Monroe, La. ===================
