George Joseph "G J" Robert, age 66 passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 
his home in Destrehan. 

He was a Chief Financial Officer and has lived in Destrehan for the past four 
years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Sliwa Roberts. Two sons, Brian Roberts 
(wife, Jennifer Gerbasi) of Houma, LA and Keith Roberts (wife, Amy) of Roswell, 
GA. Four grandchildren; Madison Roberts, Connor Roberts, Sophia Pearl Gerbasi 
Roberts and Bethany Rose Gerbasi Roberts. Special friends; Loretta and Jim 
Miller of Clearwater, FL, Sandra and Bill Place of Holden, MA, Karen and Bob 
Harvey of Fort Wayne, IN and Teresa and Jim Walsh of Richmond, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph George Roberts and Edna Mae 
White. Father in-law, Joseph Sliwa and Mother in-law Sophie Sliwa.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 9:00 am until 9:55 
am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Memorial Mass will be 
said at 10:00 am at the church with Fr. Tom McCann officiant. 
Burial will follow in the St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his honor to 
Lakeside Hospice 1505 West Napoleon Avenue, Metairie, Louisiana 70001.
