Uella Roussel Schexnaydre age 101, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Our 
Lady of the Lake Hospital. 

She was a native of Grand Point and lived the majority of her life in Destrehan.

She is the wife of the late Sylvan (Joe) Schexnaydre. Daughter of the late 
Maurice Roussel and Rosala Louque. Sister of the late Allen Roussel, Edwidge St. 
Pierre, Myrtle Prorries, Edwina St. Pierre, Etta Matherne, Earline Trapani, 
Rosabell Wilbaecher, also the late Cleveland, Ferdinand, Matase and Auley 
Roussel. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm 
at the H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco and will continue on Thursday, 
April 21, 2011 from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Funeral services will be held at 
11:00 am from the funeral home with Fr. Harry Bugler officiant. Burial will 
follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina.
