Murphy Paul Trahan age 85, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 at his 
residence. He was retired from the Bungee Grain Elevator and a veteran of World 
War II with the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Della Mae Trahan. Two sons; 
Murphy Trahan, Jr. (wife Geralyn) and Joey Trahan (wife Crystal). Eight 
daughters; Charlotte Trahan, Dale T. Naquin (husband Terald), Kim T. Gonzalez 
(husband Matthew), Patti T. Waguesuespack (husband late Mickey), Tracy Trahan, 
Jackie T. Grisoli (husband Damian), Geralynn T. Melancon (husband Gerald, Jr.) 
and Pam T. Deshotel (husband Rodney). Twenty-two grandchildren and fourteen 
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Horace Trahan and Nita Meaux. Three 
brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 9:30 am until 10:45 
am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Mass of Christian 
Burial will be at 11:00 am from the church with Fr. Bru officiating. 
Burial will follow in the St. Charles Mausoleum.
